Xiaqiu Luo
Born in a musical family, Xiaqiu Luo learned to play the violin at the age of 4 and started piano lessons at 8. After got Bachelor (of Literature, at Shanghai Normal University) he started to work as a concert manager, he found how piano matters to him. He decided to focus on establishing a career as a classical pianist and in recent years, his passionate belief has only grown more determined.
From 2018 to 2021, Xiaqiu had been annually invited by Shanghai Oriental Art Center to join Magic Piano & The Chopin Shorts, concerts with Polish Oscar-winning animated music videos, in which he performs Chopin’s Etudes at the venue’s Concert Hall. In Nov 2020, he performed Beethoven’s Piano Sonata Op.28 in a Beethoven memorial concert series at the same venue’s Recital Hall. From Sep 2018 to Jan 2019, Xiaqiu acted as music director of Let The World Hear (Chinese remake of Japanese musical TV series Nodame Cantabile) and went to Paris for shooting, he also showed in pictures as the leading role’s hands substitute. In the year of 2018 and later in 2023, He went to Israel to participate in Tel-Hai Piano Masterclass.
He is the laureate of the 2024 Hong Kong International Piano Open Competition (3rd prize), and had received comments by Albo Valdma, one of the jury and professor of piano in HfMT Köln: “Your colourful sound and great admiration to every tone played on piano bring pleasure to listeners.”
